meet our youth engagement officer
At Central Bedfordshire SENDIASS, we offer information and advice to children and young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families.
We also offer SENDIASS Youth Engagement
Our Youth Engagement Officer works with young people who are between 14 - 25 years old with SEND (special educational needs or disability), who are preparing for adulthood and / or would like to build confidence and independence in education.
Do you need support, advice and guidance about your education or SEND?
Are you making a request for an Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment and want some support or advice?
Our Youth Engagement Officer can work with you to help you understand your SEN and what support you can access, teach you about SEND processes, what you should be part of and learn about the rights and responsibilities you have.
Our aim is for you to feel empowered in using your voice and feel more confident in your educational journey, and for you to work towards achieving your hopes, dreams and ambitions.
These are fixed periods of working between you and our Youth Engagement Officer –
The support is not ongoing. If you are not ready to work with us, you can come back at a later time when you feel ready.
