This workshop is suitable for parent / carers who have children / young people currently on SEN support at school or have special educational needs and are being homeschooled.  

The workshop will focus on the process of requesting an Education Health and Care Needs Assessment and will explore:  

• What is an EHCNA and how an LA decides whether to agree to assess  

• What to do if the LA refuse to carry out an EHCNA  

• What happens during an EHCNA and involvement of CYP/parent carer in the process  

• What to do if the LA refuse to issue an EHCP after the EHCNA
